Happy Birthday Megalicious!

Today I am dedicating my blogging skills to one of my BFFs Megan Loveless. It's her 23rd birthday and this calls for some serious celebration! Megan and I go way back...well really only about 4 years, but it's definitely been awhile.

It all began when she started hanging out with Zach V. A whole bunch of us would hang out every now and then, but Megan and I weren't very close. Eventually romantic feelings grew, and Megan and Dustin V became an item. Since Dustin was my roommate back then, I started seeing more of Megan. We even went on a fun trip to Vegas with the gang!

In March of last year I found myself needing a new place to live, and Megan needed a new roommate to live with. Luckily we both had the brilliant idea that I should move in! So I did, and as time went on we grew closer. Of course we've had our fair share of disagreements and arguments, but that's what friends do!
She has become one of my very closest friends, and she is always there for me. We talk about everything from boys, to clothes, to TV shows. She helps me make good choices, and we always have fun together. I would rather hang out with her than a boy any day! It's going to be a sad day when she gets married one day and I have to find a new roommate!

Here are some photos I have taken to document our fun times together.

Megan had her birthday party on Saturday, it was a fun time.

I even made a healthy Carrot cake from scratch!

So Megan, I just want to tell you that you are my best friend and I don't know what I would've done without you this year! Let's be friends forever, because it will suck if we don't!

HAPPY 23RD BIRTHDAY!!!

Love

For the past 4 or 5 Valentine's Days I usually always had fun romantic (sorta) plans. Since I am single this year I decided to make the most of it, and have the best V-Day ever! So it started out by me having a cough. This resulted in me being really tired and disgusting, so I called in to work. Then I slept until 1:00 in the afternoon!!! This is soo rare for me during the week, but it was basically the best thing ever.

After I finally decided to wake up, I showered and took my time getting ready. I think it's an unsaid rule that you're supposed look hot on V-Day, even if you don't have a date. Right after I woke up I went in the bathroom, to ya know, take care of business. I was surprised by a beautifully wrapped gift sitting on the bathroom counter! Since I am single, and have no potential boyfriends, I was a little shocked. It was labeled "To: Khristina, Love: Your Secret Admirer aka Vest Boy" (Vest boy is my secret crush who I really don't even know but I pretend to love him). The reality of this situation is that no, the gift was not from vest boy, it was from the best roommate in the world! I quickly opened it to find something I had been wanting for awhile.

The cutest Betsy Johnson make-up bags ever! Thanks Megan, you're the best!

Since Megan was so kind, I decided I needed to do something nice for her as well. I went and picked up a gift certificate for a Shellac manicure and pedicure for each of us. After she got off work I gave it to her and we went to the nail place. It was soo relaxing, definitely work it.

The results...

(Don't judge my E.T. toes)

Shellac!

Afterwards, we treated ourselves to a delicious Chinese dinner. It was breaking our diet just a little bit, but hey, it's Valentine's day! Following dinner we called up our two best guy friends and went to see The Vow.

It was pretty romantic, and I loved it.

So basically I gave myself the best Love day anyone could ever ask for! One advantage of being single is you can do whatever makes you happy, and you don't have to listen to anyone complain about watching another cheesy chick flick.
Although cuddling is fun, and having a boyfriend can be nice at times, I am perfectly happy where I am and am lucky to have such great girl friends!

Love really is a beautiful thing, and I am so happy for anyone that has found it already. I see so many people around me getting engaged and married, and it really is precious. I cry when I see anyone get engaged, married, or even express their love for each other (I mostly see this in movies, not real life). Hopefully one day I will fall in love and meet the man of my dreams. Then I can have my turn of being mushy and disgusting, and sharing my life with someone!

The moral of my story is...
Love between two people is a beautiful thing, but sometimes loving yourself is all you need.

This is pretty funny, haha.
